This blog was created for the students taking the course of Bilingual Education in the Education Program at Universidad Iberoamericana in Torreón, Coahuila, México.
Eventhough is NOT an official language, it has become famouse and very common in some parts of the United States and other countries. It catch my attention the way it is totally informal, seems that there are no hard- and- fast rules, as we can notice in the video. Is amazing how we can find spanglish in poems, entertainment shows, even publicity, etc. This is another prove that creativity has no limits.
ReplyDeleteIt is very common to hear it and makes me laugh sometimes, but it is also somewhat alarming. Some people become aware of the value of the language as cultural property to be protected and are struggling to find the translation for each new term and which is the best way to say a sentence.
